CHICAGO (March 28, 2019) – Stacy Hodgins has been promoted to lead analytic consulting at Blue Health Intelligence (BHI®). As BHI’s newest associate vice president, she will manage an integrated team of data scientists, data analysts, biostatisticians, epidemiologists, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals. Together, these experts unite BHI’s deep data with industry expertise to deliver powerful insights for health plans, providers, employers, brokers, and other stakeholders in the healthcare industry.
Hodgins joined BHI in 2016 and previously was a senior director at Dynamic Health Strategies, a healthcare information and audit company focused on population health, member engagement, and activity promotion. She also has held leadership roles with Truven Health Analytics (now IBM Watson Health) and the National Business Group on Health®.
“We are always proud to promote from within our talented pool of employees,” said Swati Abbott, BHI’s CEO. “As a leading member of the consulting team who has a thorough grounding in all the issues we help our clients with, Stacy is ideally positioned to take our analytic consulting services to the next level.”
BHI’s analytic consultants are experts in using BHI’s data repository – the nation’s largest, most current, and conformed healthcare claims database – and cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, to advance data-driven healthcare decision-making. Some of BHI’s recent analytic consulting work includes:
• Helping plans reduce waste by pinpointing low-value care elimination opportunities and recommending appropriate site-of-service changes
• Working to build and use customized benchmarking solutions to lower healthcare costs and improve quality
• Developing and deploying predictive and prescriptive analytics that accurately identify high-cost members and make actionable recommendations to mitigate their cost trajectories
Hodgins received her master’s degree in public health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University and her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University. She also holds two Green Belts in Six Sigma rapid improvement.
“With my broad experience working with large employers, I am looking forward to making BHI’s consulting solutions even more relevant to BlueCross BlueShield plans’ largest and most forward-thinking clients,” Hodgins said. “Having grown up within the human capital and
productivity space, I see opportunity in identifying innovative ways that plans and employers can better support members in improving their health and well-being while at the same time reducing inefficient utilization of healthcare services.”
